Here are some suggestions to better prepare you for your trip and make it much more enjoyable. First, get to know your guide (me) by browsing through the site and taking advantage of the information provided. It's always much easier to get in the boat with someone you know something about rather than meeting a total stranger. It's why I have put so many pages on this site. Also, for those coming with you send them a link to the site and let them get to know me a little bit. Lastly, read up on the lakes provided on the site. There is great information there to give clients a great idea of what they can expect to be fishing while out with me.
It's greatly appreciated when clients get in my boat and tell me how much they enjoyed my site. It's built for you and for you to enjoy. Thanks
Our goal is to structure every trip according to each clients goals and experience to make for a very personalized and successful fishing trip. The initial conversation that I have with a client is a vital first step to achieving this allowing me to ask important questions so that once I know your experience and goals, the best recommendation can be made. These recommendations could be using artificial lures, live bait, length of trip, which lake to fish or type of equipment.
All trips are guaranteed that you will catch a fish or you don't pay for anything except for a fishing trip that happens after a severe cold front or high winds. If you choose artificial lures for your fishing trip we will be more than happy to accommodate your request but in the event that during the trip you have not caught a fish we will require that live bait is purchased and used for the remainder of the day. If at the end of the trip you still have not caught a fish the trip is free, your deposit will be refunded and the bait will not be charged. I feel this is the most clear and concise guarantee a client will find and believe it is the best way to guarantee you will have a successful day.
A deposit is not required to make a reservation but is available via Paypal on the Reservations page if you would like to make one. In all other cases a clients credit card information will be used to hold the day but will not be charged until the end of your trip. Please be sure to use the same card for final payment if paying with a credit card.
In the event you cannot make your scheduled day a notice of at least 2 weeks must be given prior to your trip. Any cancellation less than 2 weeks will incur a full days charge to the credit card provided. A client may reschedule for a later date and those fees can be applied to that trip so long as availability allows.
Print the directions provided on the reservations page, purchase your fishing license, call me the night before your trip. It's that easy.
No, this is a one person operation so there are no hands for your reservation to fall through. The booking process over the phone is very detailed and everything needed to confirm your trip will happen at that time.
To do our part, Florida Bass Adventures practices Catch and Release on all guide trips. We do trophy bass fishing trips only and follow B.A.S.S. Founder Ray Scotts philosophy on harvesting bass so that our trophy bass fishery can continue to offer great fishing experiences for generations to come!
The bass we catch are not harvesting bass and therefore are released to maintain the trophy resources we have in Central Florida. If you are interested in catching bass to eat there are many lakes in the Orlando area that you can fish without the need of a guide and can easily catch bass that you can keep.
We can provide pick up and drop off from your hotel for clients staying in the area that are without a vehicle. Pick up and drop off is not part regular guide services offered so please be aware that I will be traveling to your hotel while pulling a boat and then back to my home. Cost for this additional service is $50 if you are staying on Disney Property, HWY 535 Resorts or South International Drive area. (taxi fees for this is $100 + tip) If you are staying on International Drive, Sea World Area or Universal Studios pick up is free. Also, please note that rather than take clients to the closest lake for free pick up I take clients to the lake that provides the best results which means more fuel expense and wear & tear on my trailer.
In the event that I am booked for the dates you are interested in we can still take care of your trip by providing you with one of the best guides in the area. While we are not a booking service I do work with the best guides that operate with the same standards that I do. If you would like us to take care of this for you simply let me know and I will make all the arrangements.
The balance for your trip can be paid in cash or credit card. Cash is always preferred but credit cards can be processed on site at the end of your trip just the same as cash can be taken. NO CHECKS.
Children will always be welcome on my boat. They are the future of the sport and my goal is for them to leave with a desire to continue fishing at home. If you bring your child expect them to have a great time and catch all of the fish! Minimum age for these trips is 7 years.
there will never be any surprise fees on the day of your trip. All costs are listed on the rates page and they do not change.
Your fishing time does not include driving time to our fishing area and any additional moves during your trip. The lakes in the Orlando area only take 5- 10 minutes to get across so an extra 15 minutes is what you can expect to be on the water during your trip.
