Frequently Asked Questions

Who Will Be The Fishing Guide for Our Trip?

orlando bass fishingFlorida Bass Adventures is a one man show, so from beginning all the way to the end of your trip I will be your guide. I do not book trips for other guides and no photo on this site is from a client fishing on another guides boat. On the day of your trip, if you have booked with me you can look forward to seeing my smiling face on the day of your trip.

Do you OFFER A NO FISH NO PAY GUARANTEE?

Yes, I we do. You can actually find many guides in the Orlando area offering a "no fish, no pay guarantee" on their site but none go into detail. A guarantee is only as good as what you see in writing. This is why you can find our guarantee spelled out in detail on the trip information page. I make it a point to avoid sales tactics and gimmicks to attract clients because at the end of the day, I'm human and work with Mother Nature.

HOW DO I SCHEDULE A TRIP?

I prefer to keep things as simple and easy as possible for a client when booking a trip. Contacting me by phone is without a doubt the most direct and easy way of setting up your trip. It allows the client the ability to verify the date is open and also provides you an opportunity to actually speak with the person you will be fishing with. I do provide email for contact but it has been my experience direct conversation tends to be less time consuming and more precise.

are there gators in your lakes?

Yes, we have Gators in almost all of our lakes in Florida.

WHAT TYPES OF TRIPS DO YOU OFFER?

We do our best to offers something for everyone with trips catered to each individual client. Both Live Bait and Artificial Lure trips are provided and depending on the length of trip, combination trips doing both can be done. The length of each trip will vary depending on the time of year. Visit the Guide Rates Page for details on length of trip based on when you will be visiting the area.

How Do I Reserve A TRIP?

After speaking with me to confirm your desired date is available simply go to the reservations page and send your deposit via Paypal to lock in the day or days you want to reserve. You can also find everything else needed to complete your reservation on this page: a link to purchase your fishing license online and a link for directions to the lake we will be fishing.

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN YOU CARRY?

My boat can carry up to 4 people but I only do guide trips with a maximum of 3 clients at one time. This is for comfort, safety as well as what will provide the best results. For groups of 4 or more we offer an opportunity to fish out of a Pontoon boat on a private lake. Pricing will depend on the number of people so please call for details if you would like to make a reservation for this.

WHICH IS BETTER, ARTIFICIAL LURES OR LIVE BAIT?

Day in and Day out the simple answer will always be live bait because, it is live bait. The real question is what is best for you on your day? Every trip is unique and depending on the time of year or the clients goals one can be better than the other. There are times of the year that I will use artificial lures more than live bait because the results are the same or better than live. When you call to reserve your trip I will recommend what will be best for you based on your trip and time of year you will be fishing.

DO YOU HAVE ACCESS TO A PRIVATE LAKE FOR TRIPS?

I personally do not have access but can refer you to a guide that does with all trips being done on a pontoon boat.

WHAT DO YOU PROVIDE?

A guide trip is designed so that you the client can show up and go fishing without the need to worry about bringing any equipment unless you choose to do so. You are required to carry proof of a Florida fishing license during your trip. We use Shimano Reels with Abu Garcia rods in both bait casting and spinning. For details on what is provided and recommendation on what to bring visit the trip information page.

DO YOU OFFER TRANSPORTATION?
